Tedd F. Seelye died Sunday, June 27, 2010. His wife, Joyce (nee Brassington), of 54 years died Thursday, July 8, 2010. Both of them had been on home hospice with their children caring for them. Tedd was born in Lum, Mich. and grew up in Lapeer, Mich. He graduated from Wheaton College and Northern Baptist Theological Seminary. His career in broadcasting included announcer, radio dramas, program host on WMBI in Chicago, announcer of Songs in the Night, Chapel of the Air and Back to God Hour. He also acted in various Christian films. He was a longtime committee member of the DuPage County Prayer Breakfast. Joyce was born and raised in Painesville, Ohio. She attended Nyack College in New York state, graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a Christian education degree and attended Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, where she met Tedd. They were married in May 1954. They are survived by their children, Eric (Ellen) of Cuba, N.Y., Jonathan and Sutherland (Jonathan) Gray of Wheaton and Andrew (Mei) of Austin, Texas; grandsons, Jonathan, Caleb and Benjamin; sisters, Carolyn McElroy (the late Bill), Jane Rigsbee (the late Howard), Mary Brassington and Caroline (Ken) Shoberg; and their nieces and nephews. A combined memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 7, at 3 p.m. at the College Church of Wheaton, Ill.
