Anna (Dunson) Seelye, 91, of 85 William St., died Friday in a local nursing home. She was employed as a superintendent by the Paramount Theater and had also worked for many years as an elevator operator.

She was born and educated in Holyoke. In her early years she lived in New York City and Richmond, Va., before returning here 67 years ago.

She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, past president of the Pastor's Aide Club, a member of the Missionary Society and Adult Sunday School, and a former member of the trustee board.

She was also a member of the Forget Me Not Temple No. 302 of the Elks and served as Past Daughter Ruler, and Past State President of the New England States and Eastern Canada, a 20-year treasurer of the Zara B. Freeman Council, and a member of the Beauty & Talent Department.

She was also active with the Golden Agers and the American Civil Liberties Union.

Her husband, William Seelye, predeceased her. She leaves a stepdaughter, Nelene Seelye of Hartford, Conn.; an adopted daughter, Margaret Weldon of Springfield; five granddaughters, 12 great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon in the church, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. A calling hour is Tuesday before the funeral.
