Arlene F. Seelye of Clio, age 85, died Friday, December 5, 2008 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Burial in Hillview Memorial Gardens in Davisburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Visitation 6-9PM Tuesday and 12PM Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Arlene was born in Gaylord, Michigan on March 5, 1923, the daughter of Harry and Mae Kidder and was a resident of Genesee County most of her life. Mrs. Seelye was employed by Venus Coney Island for 18 years. Surviving are son, James of Essexville; 3 grandchildren, Teresa and husband Jason VanKuren of Alabama, Kimberly Melton-Widing and husband Galen of Linden, James, Jr. and wife Emily of Toledo; 5 great-grandchildren, Lee, Matt, Carr, Carrli and Autumn; 2 sisters, Beulah Hagadorn of Johannesburg, Michigan, Georgina Madagame of Alba; many nieces and nephews.
