SEELYE, BENJAMIN F. OF PALATINE FOR 30 YEARS

Funeral services for Benjamin F. Seelye, 77, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Born Jan. 6, 1924, in Manito, Ill., he died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Northwest Community Heathcare, Arlington Heights. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines. Mr. Seelye was retired from BFI. A veteran, he had served in the 1st Marine Division during World War II and was a member of American Legion Palatine Post #690. Surviving are his children, Terry Mars, Vicky Bason, Benjamin (Janet) Seelye Jr. and Linda (Joe) Farhat; brother Nelson (Betty) Seelye; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly J. Seelye; and brothers Richard and Bobby. Visitation was Friday at the funeral home.
