Publication BERTHA E. SEELYE, 84 of Silverwood, Michigan died on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Marlette Extended Care, Marlette, MI. Bertha was born to Clarence and Beatrice (Warren) Forth on March 11, 1926 in Lapeer Township, MI. and graduated from Lapeer High School in 1943. She married Lester Seelye on January 22, 1949. They owned and operated a dairy farm for 50 years.

She was an avid golfer and belonged to golf leagues, bowled, and spoiled her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, crosswords, checkers, dancing, and roller skating. She also worked for the Rich Township Election Board for many years.

She is survived by three daughters, Deborah (James) Robinet of Silverwood, Leslie (Jack) Hedelund of Fair Haven, and Sandra (Stephen) Repic of Cochrane, Alberta, Canada; two sisters, Frances Groezinger of Columbiaville and Neoma Albrecht of Lapeer; eight grandchildren, Kelly (James) Hillstead, Jason (Barb) Robinet, Carrie and Megan Robinet, Amanda, Courtney, and Ronald Hedelund and Whitney Repic; twelve great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Noah and Emma Hillstead, Zoe and Ezekiel Robinet, Makayla Hedelund, Zachary, Trenton, and Nathan Pickvet, Caidence and Madeline Beecher and also many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; daughter, Joanne; brother, Wallace Forth and sister, Dorothy Wilson.

Funeral services were held on Friday, September 3, at the Avram Funeral Home in Mayville with Pastor Walter David officiated.
