Bette A. Seelye, 72, of Mundelein, IL, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2001 at the Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born November 29, 1928 in Libertyville and had been a Libertyville-Mundelein resident all her life. She was a 1946 graduate of Libertyville Township High School.
Surviving are her husband, Nelson Seelye; five children, Dennis (Sharon) Herchenbach of Gurnee, Donald Herchenbach of Round Lake, Dawn (Robert) Hall of Mundelein, Richard Seelye of Waukegan and Guy (Leslie) Seelye of Antoich; ten grandchildren, Lauren, Colin, Curtis, James & Michael Herchenbach, Robert T. and Alison Hall, Meagan, Nichole and Guy Seelye; her brother, Robert (Peg) Holden of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ogle Holden and Beatrice (nee Dietz) Holden Luby; her first husband, James R. Herchenbach; and by her son, Stephen Seelye.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M. Wednesday, October 10, 2001 at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176), Libertyville. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday. Memorial contributions can be made to the Condell Medical Center in her memory.
