Final Rites for Seelye Set for Sunday

Funeral services for Charles Seelye, 86, who died Wednesday at a local hospital will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Bismarck Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. Edwin Oster officiating. Burial in the Fairview cemetery.

Mr. Seelye was born June 16, 1862 at Mabel, Minn. He came to North Dakota from Winona, Minn in 1906, homesteading in the New Leipzig community. His marriage to Flossie Lee took place in Hettinger in 1911. A painter by trade he came to Bismarck in 1914. He had made his home with his daughter Mrs. Frank Kenison, Morristown, S.D. for the last four months.

In addition to his widow and daughter, Mrs. Kenison, he leaves two sons, Charles Seelye Bismarck, George Seelye, Kalispell, Mont, two other daughters, Mrs. K. R. Smith, Fresno, California and Miss Jane Seelye, Seattle, Wash, and a step-son Harry Salinbury New Leipzip, also 11 grandchildren, brother Walter Seelye Lisbon and two sisters, Mrs. Etta Celley Spokane, Wash and Mrs. Cora Lamb Pomona, Calif.

The body is at the Convert-Boelter funeral home.

Local Man Dies in City Hospital

Charles Seelye, 86, 610 Thayer Ave., died Wednesday at 8:25 p.m. at a local hospital. He had entered the hospital five days prior to his death. The body is at the Convert-Boelter funeral home.
