Charlotte E. Seelye

Charlotte E. Seelye, 78, of 916 Weaver St., Montoursville, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 1994, in Divine Providence Hospital.

Born Aug. 22, 1915, in Salladasburg, she was the daughter of Jacob and Rose Richards.

She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Montoursville, and was a former member and lay speaker at Trout Run United Methodist Church.

She had retired as an inspector at the former Ray-O-Vac plant in South Williamsport.

Preceding her in death were her first husband, Alanson M. Kittle, in 1971, and one son, Fredrick N. Kittle, who was killed in action during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are her husband, John Harold Seelye; one son, Donald R. Kittle of Linden, one stepson, Raymond Seelye of Las Vegas, Nev., one daughter, Mrs. Idell Ludwig of Montoursville; two brothers, Jacob and James Richards, both of Roaring Branch; three sisters, Eva Caputo of Chicago, Ill., Margaret Pratt of Marsh Hill and Patricia Harer of Ogdensburg, four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

There was no visitation.

Memorial services were held Monday, Jan. 17, at the Faith Church, Montoursville, with the Rev. Stratford C. Taylor, her pastor, officiating.

Burial was made at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements were handled by the Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
