David doesn’t need his wheelchair any longer. David Jeremy Seelye was born May 17, 1985, in Tacoma, Washington and went to heaven January 21, 2002. David lived life with one goal in mind …to go to heaven. His face always brightened and a big smile appeared at its mention. Even though Batten Disease affected his body, he never let it get him down.

David attended Clover Park High School. David is survived by his dad and mom, Bill and Kathy; sisters, Sarah and Kiersten; Grammie and Papa Petersen; Gramma White, all of Tacoma; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Special friends Joshua Clayton and Joshua Faulconer and their families will also remember him.

Special thanks to all that have provided our family support in so many ways over the years. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in memory of David to the Batten Disease Support and Research Association, 120 Humphries Dr., Suite 2, Reynoldsburg OH 43068 or Tacoma First Church of the Nazarene, 3640 South M. St., Tacoma WA 98418.

A service to celebrate David’s life will be held at Tacoma First Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, January 26, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be Thursday and Friday, 9 AM to 8 PM at the New Tacoma Funeral Home.
