Having given her gift back to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, she lead singing wherever there was a need in the Body of Christ. Upon her retirement, Dorothy moved to Bismarck. Along with her music, Dorothy also enjoyed designing and sewing women's clothing, decorating, embroidery and cooking.

Skirts are full and flowing as gentleman weave their ladies in circles across the dance floor, lit by late setting sun of the 1940's. Those images spin around and around the dining room at Medcenter One Care Center on Tuesday and Thursday nights. For many listeners, the music played by a group of musicians at the care center brings back memories of barn dances, German waltzes and good times. Dorothy sang and played the electronic keyboard with this group.
