North Rose: Age 86, died at Auburn Memorial Hospital on Saturday, June 2, 2001. Surviving are his 2 children, Ellen Schwarz of Elbridge; James D. Seelye of Cogan Station, PA; 7 grandchildren, Eugene, Eric, Stefanie, Nathan, Frank, Ralph and Ruth; 2 great-grandchildren; nieces, Carol Shipley of North Rose; cousins; his adopted family, Virginia, Frank, Vicki, Francceska, and Irashe. Predeceased by his wife, Beatrice in 1994; and brother, Carson in 2000. Mr. Seelye was born in the Town of Butler on July 29, 1914, a son to Frank and Alda Luffman Seelye. He was a partner with his brother, Carson in the Seelye Ladder Company in North Rose until 1961. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday (June 7) from 12-2 at the Famsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St. North Rose. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm with Rev. Dan Corretore, Officiating. Burial will be in Huron Evergreen Cemetery. For those wishing, please make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association in his memory.
