John H. Seelye, 82, of 916 Weaver St., Montoursville, died Friday, May 6, 1994, at Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport.

Born Sept. 28, 1911, in Mainesburg, he was the son of Walter and Mary Ann Dunn Seelye.

He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.

He was a retired employee of Corning Glass Works in Corning, N.Y.

His wife, the former Charlotte Richards, died in January. His daughter preceded him in death, Constance, Seelye.

Surviving are one son, Raymond Seelye of Caliente, Nev.; one step-son, Donald R. Kittle of Linden; one step-daughter, Idell Ludwig of Montoursville; two brothers, Llewellyn of Pine City, N.Y., and Norman of Rochester, N.Y.; four sister, Leone Ackerman of Spokane, Wash., Florence Wheeler of Clifton Springs, N.Y., Eleanor Frantz of Clarksville, Va., and Alice Colegrove of Lawrenceville.

There was no visitation.

Services were held Tuesday, May 10, at the Faith United Methodist Church, Montoursville, with the Rev. Stratford C. Taylor, his pastor, officiating.

Burial was made in Lawrenceville.

Arrangements were handled by the Spitlar Funeral Home, Montoursville.
