MRS. JULIA SEELYE

Preston, Minn. – (Special) – Mrs. Julia Seelye, 84, died suddenly Monday evening after suffering a stroke at the home of her son, Kenneth, in Preston. She had made her home with Kenneth during the past year since moving from Harmony.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:45 p.m. at the Haetner chapel and 2 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran church, the Rev. R.J.S. Vordale officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Seelye, the former Julia Johnson, was born March 18, 1865, in Norway, coming to Fillmore county when she was seven years of age. She was married to Wallace C. Seelye, who died in March, 1943.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth and Clarence, Preston, and Harry, Robbinsdale; one brother, Jacob Johnson, Detroit Lakes; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
