KENT L. SEELYE

Kent L. Seelye, 93, Star Lake, died Saturday at Clifton-Fine Skilled Nursing Facility.

He was a maintenance worker and painter for the former Jefferson County National Bank and later for Clifton-Fine Hospital.

Born June 14, 1913, at Black River, son of Sebra and Anna Greenfield Seelye, he served in the Army from December 1940 to July 1945 as an automatic rifleman during World War II. He earned his Combat Infantryman Badge in March 1944. He was decorated with the Bronze Star, Distinguished Unit Badge, two Oak Leaf Clusters, the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, the American Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.

Surviving are a sister, Leona S. Wilcox, Star Lake, and several cousins.

A sister, Ethel Moore, and a brother, Donald G., died before him.

There will be no funeral or calling hours. Burial will be in Oswegatchie Cemetery.
