Publication PEKIN - Louise Belvina Seelye, 87, of 1100 Edgewater Drive passed away at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Pekin Hospital.

Born Jan. 22, 1920, in Glasford to John Calvin and Afy Caroline (Harding) McQuown, she married James G. Seelye on Aug. 21, 1937, in Pekin. He died May 29, 2002, in Peoria.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Surviving are one son, James V. (Gwen) Seelye of Pekin; one daughter, Gayle Duden of Minonk; four grandchildren, the Rev. John M. (Diana) Duden Jr. of Topeka, Darrell Duden of Minonk, Lori (Mike) Davis of Pekin and Rhonda (Jeff) Ries of Germantown Hills; and six great-grandchildren.

A homemaker, Louise resided for 60 years in the home which she and her husband built on Edgewater Drive.

She was a member of the Tobin-Nanninga Marine Corps League Detachment 085 Ladies Auxiliary in Pekin. She also was a member of the Sunbeam Temple No. 217, Pythian Sisters in Pekin.

Louise enjoyed crafting and was an avid bowler.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. John M. Duden Jr., her grandson, will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
