SEELEY – MRS. MARIAN SEELEY SEELYE, 74 of 10 S. Minnequa Ave., Canton died Wednesday, July 22, 1992 at Memorial Hospital, Towanda. Mrs. Seelye was born Feb. 7, 1918 at Windfall, Bradford County, a daughter of Clarence and Anna Ayres Seeley. She was a 1937 graduate of Canton High School. She was employed as a nurses’ aide at the former Crowe Nursing Home, Canton and later she worked in the dietary department of the Troy Community Hospital, followed by employment at the former Canford Manufacturing Corp., Canton. Mrs. Seelye was a member of the Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ), Canton and the Women of the Moose Lodge, No. 981, Canton since 1949. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Nona Gail and Glen Ragan; granddaughter, Paula Ragan Neal and great-grandson, Travis Neal all of Canton RR 2; brother, C. Harold Seeley, address unknown and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband, John J. Keltz in 1967; her second husband, S. Charles Seelye in 1981 and a grandson, Michael Ragan in 1989. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Morse and Kleese Funeral home, 40 North Center St., Canton. The Rev. David B. Morris, her pastor will officiate. Interment will be in Park Cemetery, Canton. Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be directed to the Canton Ambulance Association, Canton in Mrs. Seeley’s memory.

Marian Seeley Seelye, 74, of 10 S. Minnequa Ave., Canton, died Wednesday, July 22, 1992, at memorial Hospital, Towanda.

Born Feb. 7, 1918, in Windfall, she was the daughter of Clarence and Anna Ayres Seeley.

She was a 1937 graduate of Canton High School.

She was a member of the Church of Christ, Canton, and the Women of the Moose, Lodge #981, Canton, since 1949.

She was employed as a nurses aid at the former Crowe Nursing Home, Canton. Later, she worked in the dietary department of the Troy Community Hospital, followed by employment at the former Canford Manufacturing Corporation, Canton.

Preceding her in death were her first husband, John H. Keltz, in 1967, her second husband, S. Charles Seelye, in 1981, and a grandson, Michael Ragan, in 1989.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Nona Gail and Glen Ragan; granddaughter, Paula Ragan Neal, and great-grandson, Travel Neal, all of Canton RR 2; brother, C. Harold Seeley, address unknown; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends called at the Morse and Kleese Funeral Home, Canton, on Friday, July 24.

Services were held there on Saturday, July 25m with the Rev. David B. Morris officiating.

Burial will be made in Park Cemetery, Canton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Canton Ambulance Association, Canton.
