PEKIN - Mary Lou Seelye, 76, of 341B Country Club Drive died at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at Hallmark House Nursing Center.

Born April 19, 1928, in Harrisburg to Ralph Henry and Delia Melinda Walker Bath, she married Richard James "Dick" Seelye on June 22, 1947, in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Margaret "Marggie" Seelye of Pekin; and one sister, Sally Ennis Neale of Naples, Fla.

She and her husband owned and operated The Greenhouse Flower Shoppe from 1972 until they sold the business to their daughter in January 1991.

She had worked as a teller at Central Bank in Peoria, and in the office at Pekin Hospital, where she was instrumental in starting the billing department.

She was a former member of the Pekin Hospital League and the Illinois State Florists' Association.

She was a member of Pekin Country Club, where she golfed in its women's league for many years.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before. The Revs. Dwight Borden and Gary Ford will officiate. Cremation will be accorded.

Memorials may be made to the Pekin Hospital Foundation.
