Norma Jean Seelye

PEKIN - Norma Jean Seelye, 78, of Pekin died at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at Pekin Living & Rehabilitation Center.

Born Feb. 17, 1924, in Decatur to Chester and Thurzia Fry Hudson, she married Edward Seelye on Sept. 28, 1946, in Pekin. He died March 2, 1977, in Peoria.

She also was preceded in death by one sister.

Surviving are two daughters, Trudy (and Ralph) Lawson and Ladina Conn, both of Pekin; one son, Richard ''Dick'' of Pekin; one sister, Patricia Homerin of Pekin; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was a volunteer at the Salvation Army in Pekin.

She attended First Baptist Church in Manito.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Woolsey Funeral Home, where visitation will be two hours before. The Rev. David Wilder will officiate. Burial will be in Forest City Cemetery in Forest City.
