ROBERT WILLIAM SEELYE

Robert W. (Bob) Seelye passed away November 1, 2010, at his home in Sebring, FL. Bob was born and raised in Seattle, Washington and later served in the U.S. Army during WW II and Korea. After the wars, Bob married his high school sweetheart, Kathleen, and raised a family. Bob resided and worked in Washington, Montana and Oregon as an entrepreneur/businessman. Bob and Kathleen retired in Spring Lake, Florida, where they made their home for the past 20 years. They were married for 65 years. Bob was preceded in death by Kathleen in early June, 2010, and is survived by their two sons, Paul R. Seelye of Amarillo, TX and Evan R. Seelye of University Place, WA. Bob was a kind and thoughtful man. He kept up on world history and politics and always enjoyed a rousing discussion with his son, Evan, every Sunday over the phone. He was a consummate caregiver to Kathleen. He was organized and always had a “program”. He kept the Spring Lake golf statistics for many years. His cackling laugh and humor were infectious. He was a man we loved dearly, and will miss even more. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Bernice, Julie and other folks who were able to allow Bob to remain in his home with tender loving care. At Bob’s request, there will be no funeral services. Arrangements were entrusted to: Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Sebring, Florida 33870 863-385-0125
