Ruth Alice Seelye Ruth Alice Seelye, 69, of 628 S. 12th Street died at 11.43 a.m. Friday Oct. 19, 2001 in the Pekin Hospital emergency room. Born 1/7/1932 in Pekin, IL to George E. and Bertha Gray Cohenour, she married Harrold Seelye on 9/29/1956 in Pekin, he died 12/23/81 in Pekin. She was preceded by several brothers and sisters and survived by: 1 daughter Celestia (Karl) Copper of Pekin, Il; 1 son Harold “Wayne” (Mary) of Pekin; several grandchildren; 2 brothers, Norman Graham and Arthur Cohenour of Pekin; 2 sisters, Pansey Wertz of Pekin and Lenora (Glen) Ike of Scottsdale, AZ. She worked as cook at Lake Manor before retiring in 1991. There were no services with visitation Wednesday at Woolseys Funeral Home. Cremation was accorded and burial of ashes were in the LakeVIew Cemetery in Pekin. Memorials to the Ruth Seelye memorial fund at 1st Federal Savings and Loan, Pekin.
