Graveside services will be held today in Eugene, OR, for Tula Mae Seelye who was born in La Mar, AR, May 23, 1918, and passed away in Fortuna June 29, 2003, at the age of 85.

Tula is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Joyce Johnson of Fortuna, and Wilma Sue Seelye of Ferndale, WA; a brother, Kenneth Graves of Redding; grandchildren, Victoria and Ty, Steven and Alan McDonald, Timothy Utterback, Robert Barber and Daniel McIntyre; nieces, Bonnie Tice and Mary Cruz, Joanne Carter and her daughter, Elizabeth Lorig and her family; and numerous other grandchildren outside the area.

She was preceded in death by her second husband, Don Seelye; and first husband, Wilburn J. Collier; brothers, Ogden, Sherman, and John Graves; sister, Ora Bagwell; her parents, Sid and Nancy Graves; and two grandchildren, Jon Seelye and James Barber.

Tula was a Christian most for her life, she loved Jesus and her family.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Eugene, OR, where Tula will be laid to rest beside her first husband. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Redwood Christian Center in Eureka.

Tula Mae Collier-Seelye, 85, of Fortuna, Calif., formerly of Eugene, died June 29. The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens, Eugene. Goble’s Fortuna Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
