NEPONSET -- Vera C. Seeyle, 83, of 334 Main, Hooppole, formerly of Neponset, died at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at Good Samaritan Village in Geneseo. Born Jan. 24, 1913, in Neponset to Laurence and Ellen Gould Bennett, she first married Fred Nanninga in 1938. She later married Melvin W. Seeyle in Neponset on May 13, 1956. He died in 1994. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Joan E. Wolf; and three brothers, Fred, Glen and Howard Bennett.

Surviving are two sons, Gene Nanninga of Kewanee and Melvin R. of Dover, Ark.; two daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Kay) Gerber of Hooppole and Mrs. Harold (Betty) Miller of Wyanet; one sister, Mrs. John (Betty) Carpenter of Van Orin; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and 7 step-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Congregational Church of Neponset and the Mineral VFW Auxiliary.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cavanagh and Schueneman Funeral Home. The Rev. Lauren Gerber will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery in Neponset.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Good Samaritan Village.
