Vernadel Seelye
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, in Caldwell's Colonial Chapel for Vernadel Seelye, who died Jan. 1 at age 94.
Mrs. Seelye was born Vernadel Keith on March 14, 1907, in Spokane. She graduated from the University of Washington. She was a secretary for North Pacific Grain Growers in Spokane in the early 1930s and later a homemaker. She moved in 1953 to Portland and was a 49-year member of Laurelhurst Presbyterian Church. In 1932, she married Winthrop Seelye.
Survivors include her husband; son, Keith W.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Her son Norman L. died in 1999.
