Starting Point:	We have a biography of George Henry Seeley on our website. It says “he was born at Warsaw, Illinois, June 17, 1876, and his parents, Henry and Mary (White) Seeley, were also natives of that state. The mother passed away in 1879 and the father died in 1883. George H. Seeley, thus left an orphan when but seven years of age, attended the public schools of his native town, remaining there until 1896, when he came to Minneapolis... However he is not there in the 1880 census... It might help if we knew more about Luke S Seeley of Warsaw, b. VT, since we don’t have his lineage either.

Update to Research Query 2010-A Re: George Henry Seeley The original query was based on a biography of George Henry Seeley that placed his birth and childhood in Warsaw, Hancock, IL. In trying to identify a family for George we found a possible grandfather – Luke S or H Seeley b. 1817 VT. Janet Pease (jkpease@netzero.net) says she found a will for Luke Seelye (SGS#2255) that names Luke H. as one of his sons. She also names the 3rd wife of Luke, SGS# 2255, as Sophronia Scofield (md 22 Jun 1847 Fulton Co. IL). Luke and Sophronia are listed in the 1850 census of Rushville, Schuyler, IL with his sons James W age 15 and John J age 9. We still want to find George in the 1880 census or some other record for him so we can connect him to his family.
