EDWARD A. SEELEY

Edward A. Seeley, active lodge member, died suddenly Thursday morning in a local hospital. He was 74.

Mr. Seeley, a native of Ohio, lived in the Los Angeles area for 40 years, where he was an auditor for Los Angeles City schools. He had made his home in Madera for 2 ½ years.

He was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows and the Masonic Lodge, a past grand master of the California Odd Fellows Lodge, and also held memberships in the Madera Order of Eastern Star and the mesa Rebekah Lodge of Los Angeles.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Madera.

He leaves his widow, Rose, son Fred Seeley of Van Nuys, daughters, Mrs. Margaret Relyea of Canoga Park and Mrs. Virginia Stretch of Los Angeles, stepdaughters, Mrs. Theda Bollingen of Chowchilla and Mrs. Roberta Jennings of Fresno, 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Jay Chapel. The remains will be taken to Inglewood for services there, Monday at 1 p.m. at Pierce Brothers Mortuary. Burial will be in Inglewood Park Cemetery.

The family suggest that remembrances be in the form of donations to the Odd Fellow Grand Lodge California Scholarship Funds.
