Anne Z. Seely dies; widow of developer

Anne Z. Seely, 59, widow of one of the developers of McHenry Village in 1853, died suddenly at 9:15 p.m. Saturday.

Mrs. Seely was found slumped over in her car in the driveway of her home at 908 Carolyn Ave., by a neighbor, who telephoned for an ambulance. However, Mrs. Seely was dead on arrival at Doctors Hospital. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.

A native of California, she had been a resident of Modesto 41 years. Her late husband, Paul H. Seely and his brother Fred were two of four people who built the multi-million dollar McHenry Village Shopping Center.

Paul Seely also operated the Chrysler & Packard automobile agency.

Mrs. Seely is survived by a daughter, Karen A. Seely, of Modesto and a brother, George Zorich of Reno. Services are pending at the Franklin & Downs Funeral Home.

A final service was scheduled at 3:30 p.m. today in the Franklin & Downs Funeral Chapel, Modesto, for Anne Z. Seely, 59, widow of one of the developers of McHenry Village.

Mrs. Seely, whose late husband Paul H. was both a developer and a Chrysler-Plymouth dealer, died suddenly Saturday night in Modesto.

The family asks that any remembrances be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

Interment will be private.
