LOLA MAE SEELEY OF BANGOR WEDS CLARENCE VANWYK

Bangor, June 3 – Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Seeley announce the marriage of their daughter Lola Mae, to Clarence Van Wyk, of Joliet, Ill. The wedding took place at their home west of town last Friday afternoon last Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock. The ceremony was read by Rev. Elmo Paff of the Congregational church, in the presence of about 30 guests.

Attendants were: Miss Agnes Crowe, of Chicago, as bridesmaid, and Jack Van Wyk of Grand Rapids, brother of the groom, as best man. Little Janice Bigelow, niece of the bride, was flower girl and Rupert Bigelow, a nephew, was ring bearer.

Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. Edwin Yrkkola, sister of the bride, sang “Thine Alone” by Victor Herbert. She was accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Earl Bigelow, another sister. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Herbert Wood. Refreshments were served.

The bride is a graduate of Bangor high school, and for several years has been employed in Chicago. Following a wedding trip the couple will live in Joliet, where the groom is branch manager for an optical firm.
