Virginia Seely Bride Of Charles L. Carroll

Miss Virginia Seely, 2603 Welborn, and Charles Lindsey Carroll, exchanged marriage vows at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Pleasant Mound Baptist Church with the bride’s uncle, the Rev. Joe Watson, officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Seely, Whitesboro, and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Carroll, Harleton, Harrison County.

The wedding music was presented by Mrs. Ruth Ansley and Mrs. Joe Watson. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a royal blue gabardine suit with a white lace blouse, a white velvet hat and white lace gloves. She carried a white prayer book topped with a white orchid.

The bride’s sister, Mrs. Kay Riley of Venice, Calif., was matron of honor, and Miss Cora Walden was bridesmaid. Millard Jumper was best man and E.C. Riley was groomsman. The ushers were Watson Seely, brother of the bride from Whitesboro, and Clyde Robinson.

Miss Janice Watson registered guests during the reception at the church. The bride’s aunt, Mrs. A.B. Hilliard, cut the wedding cake and Miss Patsy Perry served punch.

Following a wedding trip to Galveston the newlyweds will be at home at 3339 Inwood.

The bride attended North Texas State College and the bridegroom attended Tyler Junior College and was graduated from SMU where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.
