Miss Seely Will Wed in June

Being announced formally is the engagement of Miss Willa Rae Seely, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chesley P. Seely, 1005 -15th East, to David S. Reiser, a son of Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Reiser, 1020 Logan ave.

The well-known members of Salt Lake’s young society set will exchange nuptial vows June 10 in Salt Lake LDS temple. A reception will honor them in the Seely garden.

Mrs. Chesley K. Seely will attend as matron of honor. Other attendants will be Mrs. Kenneth P. Gnat, Miss Marilyn Reiser, and flower girls, Miss Kay Child and Miss Heather Henchey.

A. Homer Riser Jr. will stand as best man for his brother.

The well known University of Utah coed will be graduated in June. She is affiliated with Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

Mr. Reiser will be graduated next spring from University of Utah medical school. He is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, Skull and Bones, Beehive and Owl and Key societies.

After a wedding trip, the newlyweds will make a home in Salt Lake City.

Willa Rae Seely Wed in Friday Ceremony

In one of Junetime’s loveliest ceremonies Friday, Miss Willa Rae Seely, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chesley P. Seely, 1005-15th East, became the bride of David E. Reiser, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.H Reiser, 1020 Logan ave., in nuptials solemnized in Salt Lake LDS temple by David O. McKay.

Following the ceremony was a wedding breakfast, given by M. and Mrs. Reiser at their home, and in the evening a reception honored the couple in the Seely garden.

The attractive blond bride wore a gown of eggshell satin fashioned with bouffant skirt sweeping into a train and V neckline edged with heirloom lace sewn with seed pearls. Her fingertip illusion veil was caught to a crown adorned with lily of the valley. She carried a nosegay of white roses, stephanotis and sweet peas banded with satin streamers.

Attired in frocks of dotted Swiss were attendants, Mrs. CHesley K. Seely, matron of honor; Mrs. Kenneth P. Gnadt, attending matron; Mrs. Marilyn Reiser, bridesmaid, and little Kay Childs and Heather Lynn Henchey, flower girls.

Dr. A. Hamer Reiser Jr. was best man for his brother. Fred Jackman, Dr. Robert Bowen, Kenneth P. Gnadt, Chesley K. Seely, Dick Riser and John Crawford ushered.

Mrs. Seely wore a turquoise blue gown with white bead trim for her daughter’s wedding. Mrs. Reiser’s print dress was made with a peplum and pencil slim skirt.

Following graduation exercised Tuesday, the newlyweds will make a honeymoon trip, returning to a Salt Lake home. New Mrs. Riser will teach in Salt Lake City schools while Mr. Reiser continues his medical training at University of Utah.
