Bride’s Grandfather Reads Wedding Vows

LAMESA (SC) – Judy Ann Vines and Dannie Michael Seely were united in marriage Friday at 7 p.m. in the home of the bride’s parents, J.P. Aslin, grandfather of the bride performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Johnson of Lamesa. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Price Seely of O’Donnell.

Susan Lindsey, Lamesa, was bridesmaid, and Durwood Seely of Andrews, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a street length gown of white taffeta featuring a bouffant overskirt of white organza. The scooped neckline of the fitted bodice was outlined with seed pearls and accented with teardrop pearls. She carried a white nosegay on a white Bible.

A reception was held following the wedding. The serving table was laid with a white lace cloth, and silver appointments were used. The traditional wedding cake was topped with a miniature bride and groom standing under an archway.

Following a wedding trip to Ruidoso, N.M., the couple will live in Lamesa, where the bride is a senior in high school. The bridegroom was graduated from O’Donnell High School and is now employed by the O’Donnell Gin Co.
