Lynn Seely Takes Bride in Walton U.P. Church

WALTON – The marriage of Miss Helen Ethel LaTouette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. La Reine La Tourette, 1075 Vestal Ave., Binghamton and Lynford Richard Seely, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Seely, RD3, Walton, was solemnized at the United Presbyterian Church here on Sunday, October 28.

The Rev. Melvin Dodd was the officiating clergyman and Mrs. Evelyn McClellan was the organist. Herman Stelts was soloist.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a floor length princess style grown with long sleeves, mandarin collar and a train of lace and nylon.

A veil of Chantilly lace was attached to a cap of pleated nylon and pearls and she carried a white Prayer Book with a rosebud corsage.

Maid of honor was Miss Lola Severson of Binghamton, who wore a gown of white nylon tricot with a royal blue bodice in ballerina length and a matching pillbox hat.

Bridesmaids were Miss Sally Gunderman, Miss Sandra Gunderman of Binghamton, Miss Barbara Loudon and Miss Janet Latourette of Walton. Their dresses were of royal blue nylon with pillbox hats to match.

Miss Jeanne Jurena of Endwell, niece of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a ballerina length gown of white lace with royal blue.

Best man was Bruce Latourette of Walton, brother of the bride.

Ushers were Paul Hodges, William Price, Carl Gregory and Ben Schackelton, all of Walton.

Ring bearer was Richard Barnard, nephew of the bride.

Approximately 200 guests attended a reception in the church parlors after which the couple left on a wedding trip to Florida.

The bride was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School in 1955 and has been employed at a beauty salon in Binghamton.

The bridegroom graduated from Walton High School and is employed at Breakstones, Inc., Walton.

They will make their home in Walton.
