Stephen Seely - Joyce Evelyn Petermann

Plainfield Home Of Newlyweds

BRANDON – Lighted tapers illuminated red poinsettias which decorated the altar in Brandon Methodist Church for the wedding of Miss Joyce Evelyn Petermann, Waupun, and Stephen Seely, Plainfield, solemnized at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The Rev. Alfred S. Dalrymple wedded the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Petermann of Brandon and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Seely of Plainfield.

Miss Carol Ross, Brandon, played the organ accompaniment for the soloist, Ralph Shoemaker of Waupun.

The bride wore a two-piece waltz-length gown of white lace over taffeta, made with a fitted bodice having a round neckline, an over-blouse with three- quarter length sleeves and a sheath-type skirt. She chose a crown of seed pearls to hold her veil and pinned white carnations and garnet roses to the shoulder of her frock.

She was attended by her sister, Miss Glenda Petermann, the maid of honor, and Mrs. Lorraine Premeau, Plainfield, sister of the bridegroom, who wore waltz-length frocks of red satin with red velvet and satin headpieces holding veils. Their corsages were of white carnations and red roses.

Elroy Petermann Jr. was best man for his sister’s bridegroom while Rheval Premeau was groomsman. David Premeau and Loren Frakes ushered.

A luncheon and reception for 50 guests was held in the church dining room.

The bridegroom is employed by Shelmat at Wild Rose while his bride, graduated from Waupun High, works for Handcrafters in that city.

They are making their temporary home in Plainfield.
